The trailer can support up to 35kg of equipment.

Transporting children in the Maïna bicycle trailer is strictly prohibited. It is not approved for this purpose.

Want to take your children on a bike ride? Don't worry, we're developing a bike trailer that can carry children. Alternatively, our trailer fits perfectly on a long-tail bike or behind a rear rack. If you have a child seat on the rack, that works too!

It is perfectly possible to transport a pet in the Maïna bicycle trailer, within the limits of the conditions of use, namely if it weighs less than 35kg!

Note: For fearful dogs and/or dogs not used to being transported behind a bicycle, we recommend spending time getting them used to not attaching them with a leash.

When folded, the trailer measures 100 x 70 x 20 cm

When unfolded, the trailer measures 160 x 70 x 58 cm

The trailer weighs 5.5kg. To give you an idea, that's less than a schoolbag, and much less than a pack of water!

The bike trailer attaches directly to the seat tube using Velcro straps. Ideally, you should have at least 7cm of clearance under the saddle for optimal attachment. Since the seat tube is a standard part, the trailer is compatible with all types of bikes. However, if your e-bike has a battery on the rear rack, and the saddle is in a very low position, there won't be enough room to attach the Maïna bike trailer. We also offer an adapter that attaches directly to the rear rack.

Yes! Only folding bike trailers are allowed on trains. You can go without any problems with Maïna; you might even become friends with the ticket inspectors. We tried it, and they love her!

“€560 for two wheels, a frame, and a piece of fabric? You can find the same thing on Amazon for €30!” (You can find everything on Amazon at very low prices, but we're not sure it's the best solution...)

€560 is a significant sum, and we're aware of that. If we had the opportunity to make our Maïna trailer a little more affordable, we would, believe us!

However, and in the interest of complete transparency, here is the breakdown of the €560 price tag for each trailer sold:

• 28% of raw materials and manpower are dedicated to material processing and assembly.
• 12% communication/marketing costs
• 9% fixed costs (premises, energy…)
• 15% to pay the entire team
• 20% VAT for the state
• 16% is reinvested in the company to renew and repair our machines, develop new products, improve our production processes, etc.

And there you have it, the calculation is simple!

We are a young industrial company. Setting up the first production lines represents a significant investment!

Added to all this is our approach, which we strive to make impeccable. Sourcing local raw materials, grown and processed in France, is one of our priorities. Setting up our factory in Brittany, processing the materials, and assembling everything ourselves is very important to us. Firstly, because we have developed a process unique in the world: the use of flax fiber, and secondly, because we are passionate engineers! We are committed to making things ourselves, not outsourcing them (which, between us, would be much faster and cheaper). We are dedicated to this expertise and to our 100% Made in France approach.
